Fan Zhang

Fan Zhang is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at The Herberger Institute for Dance and the Arts at Arizona State University. She is a choreographer, improviser, and dancer who loves life and enjoys solitude. Fan has seven years of experience studying Chinese classical dance and Chinese folk dance in Secondary Opera School affiliated to National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, China. Having competed in China's Lotus Cup Dance Competition in 2016, Fan achieved outstanding results in group dancing. She came to Arizona State University to receive postmodern dance training and choreography theory. The collision of her two completely different art cultures allowed Fan to find a clear contrast and a more profound reflection in her work.
